These terms govern your use of the FirstQuoter app and service. They're written in plain English. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, contact us at legal@firstquoter.com.

1. About FirstQuoter

FirstQuoter is a quoting and invoicing app for UK sole traders, operated by trading as FirstQuoter. For any questions about these terms, contact us at legal@firstquoter.com.

2. Using the service

To use FirstQuoter, you must register with accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others. You must be 18 years of age or older and operating a lawful business in the United Kingdom.

3. Free plan and subscriptions

The free plan gives you access to 5 documents (quotes and invoices combined) at no cost. The Pro plan is £9.99 per month or £99.99 per year. Subscriptions are billed via the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We may update prices from time to time with reasonable prior notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings.

You may only use FirstQuoter for lawful business purposes. You must not:

You own your data. By using the service, you grant FirstQuoter a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information you input into FirstQuoter.

6. Your customers' data

You are the data controller for your customers' personal data. FirstQuoter acts as a data processor on your behalf when handling that data. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect and process your customers' personal data, and for informing them about how their data is used. 7. Intellectual property

FirstQuoter owns all intellectual property rights in the app, its design, code, and content. You retain full ownership of your own data. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

8. Limitation of liability

FirstQuoter is not liable for any loss of revenue, missed jobs, lost contracts, or other indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you in connection with these terms is capped at the total fees you have paid to us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep FirstQuoter available and running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where possible. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions outside our reasonable control.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app. On deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of any material changes by email or in-app notification before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
